About the Coral Bells -
Velvet Night :
The Heuchera 'Velvet Night', Heuchera x 'Velvet
Night', also known as Coral Bells, Alumroot and
Crimson Bells is the darkest of the dark Coral
Bells. This plant virtually glows in the garden or
in pots. When underplanted with Lysimachia
'Goldilocks', or contrasted with golden foliaged
hostas, this superb perennial really jumps.
The slate black leaves display complex overlays
of metallic purple. Show stopping when teamed up
with any other foliage in light colors. Look closely
and you will see that they are also covered with
very fine hairs that give them their velvety
appearance. Late spring to early summer bloom.
