About the Leopard Plant
- Othello :
The Ligularia ‘Othello Leopard Plant’, Ligularia
dentata, is a wonderful yellow-orange, daisy-like
flower with huge leathery, toothed, heart-shaped,
basal leaves. New leaves emerge purplish-red but
turn to brownish-green. Blooming from July to
August, ‘Ligularia Othello’ has a plant height of 2’
and a spread of 24-36”.
Ligularia ‘Othello’ should be planted in full
shade in a well-drained area. It must have moist
soil and should never be allowed to dry out. Use
Ligularia in group or mass plantings, woodland
gardens, or along streams, ponds, pools or bog
gardens.
